Junior and Cadet Golf at Roseville

Building confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of golf

In 2015, Roseville Golf Club introduced golf at the primary school level through the highly accredited MyGolf program, supported by Jack Newton Junior Golf and Golf Australia. As part of this initiative, Roseville formed a community partnership with Roseville Public School. The program teaches young students the fundamentals and disciplines of both individual and team sports in a structured, engaging, and fun environment. It helps children develop essential golf skills while building self-confidence and character.

Roseville remains committed to supporting the long-term development of children and families on Sydney’s Lower North Shore through golf and community involvement. The Club’s strong family bonds and proud history have helped maintain a steady stream of young players through its well-established Junior and Cadet programs - a natural next step for children wanting to continue their golf journey.

Membership and Participation

Cadet and Junior Memberships are available for children aged 10 to 18. To join, children must have some golfing experience and be supervised by a responsible adult while at the Club.

The Roseville Golf Club Academy

The Academy offers a structured development pathway for young golfers. Through regular clinics during school terms, children work with qualified PGA professionals to improve skills and learn the rules and etiquette of golf in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable setting.

Player Progression and Pathways

As they progress, players gain experience on a restricted course, accompanied by dedicated volunteer Community Coaches. Graduates earn an official handicap and are welcomed into the Club’s men’s and women’s competitions, broadening their enjoyment and exposure to the game.

A standout graduate of the program is Cameron Davis, who went on to become a professional golfer and the 2017 Australian Open Champion.

Parental involvement is strongly encouraged, supporting the child’s development and providing insight into the benefits of golf and membership at a private club like Roseville.

Please note applications are by invitation only and the Academy is full for 2025.
